A Note from the Founders

Why we returned to the land

We didn’t set out to run a farm. Not in the traditional sense. But life has a way of calling us back—to ourselves, to what matters, to the earth beneath our feet.

Silverbrook Manor found us at a moment of transition. It was wild and overgrown, whispering stories from another time. We listened. And slowly, with care, we began to uncover its rhythms—not to tame them, but to tend them. What emerged was not just a farm, but a sanctuary. A place to learn, unlearn, and reimagine.

As stewards of this land, we honor the deep agricultural knowledge that came before us—particularly indigenous traditions that recognize the intelligence of ecosystems and the sacredness of food. But we are also experimenting, integrating modern regenerative practices, agroecology, and the creative arts to shape a new kind of farm: one that feeds not just the body, but the spirit.

Silverbrook is where we test, grow, share, and make space for others to do the same. It’s where chefs forage for inspiration, guests rediscover the seasons, and children chase chickens under old trees. It’s where we remember that healing begins in relationship—to land, to each other, to what we choose to grow.

Thank you for joining us on this journey and for helping us appreciate and celebrate our land.

With gratitude,
